(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Pikes Peak Region, the Pikes Peak Community Foundation is “investing for good.” Margaret Dolan, CEO of the Pikes Peak Community Foundation, joined FOX21 Morning News on Tuesday, Sept. 30, to talk about the foundation’s impact and its new community fund.
“The Pikes Peak Community Foundation works between donors and nonprofit organizations who are on the frontline doing really important work for our community,” said Dolan. “We help people make plans for various charitable funds.”
Current funds include one around suicide prevention and mental health, and another around protecting outdoor spaces. Dolan also announced the creation of a new fund: The Pikes Peak Fund to Fight Human Trafficking.
“We’re trying to raise as much money as we can through this event and throughout the year in order to be able to fund organizations that are doing critical work to help with human trafficking,” said Dolan.
Donations from FOX21’s Fashion with a Purpose Fashion Show on Saturday, Oct. 4, will go to the Pikes Peak Fund to Fight Human Trafficking. The fashion show is at Phil Long Music Hall at Bourbon Brothers in Colorado Springs.
