(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The U.S Air Force Academy will be closing Pine Drive to traffic starting Monday, June 17.

Pine Drive will close due to repaving operations and to facilitate roadwork improvements from Stadium Boulevard to West Pine Loop. Repaving operations impact access to Pine Valley Housing, the equestrian center, and Air Academy High School.

All vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians are prohibited from the road during the time of the repaving operations. Construction will begin June 17 and end Thursday, July 27.

The detour to Pine Valley will be from Stadium Boulevard to Community Center Drive to West Pine Loop. The aim is to expedite the necessary repairs and reopen the road before school starts for District 20 and the fall semester for the Academy.
