Police: Home invasion leads to assault, court paperwork stolen

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A woman was assaulted in her home on the morning of Thursday, Jan. 11, and had a briefcase of court paperwork stolen, according to the Pueblo Police Department (PPD).

PPD said on Thursday morning, officers were called to a home on West Northern Avenue and when officers arrived, they spoke to the victim. The woman told officers that she heard things being moved around inside the house and people talking, and when she looked over her staircase, she spotted four men dressed in all black.

The victim was then tied up with duct tape, assaulted with a metal object, and punched multiple times, according to police.
