Pothole blitz in Pueblo: How you can help

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The City of Pueblo has seen an uptick in the number of potholes on its roadways.

“This winter has been horrible on the roads in Pueblo,” said Charles Roy, the Director of Public Works for the City of Pueblo. “We seem to have more potholes this year than any other year.”

With a limited staff, they are asking for the community’s help to put eyes on these potholes and report them to [email protected], that way on June 23-27, they can hit the ground running and fill as many potholes as possible in four days.

“What we really want to focus on is the residential,” Roy said. “With the limited resources we have in the city budget, we try and focus on repairing, maintaining large arterial and connector roads.”

Although it will be a temporary fix, the city plans to go back with a long-term solution.

“These are cold patch repairs to get the hole filled so that we’re not busting axles, we’re not damaging tires, not having people swerve into traffic,” Roy told FOX21 News.
