(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) responded to a drive-by shooting on Sunday afternoon that left one person dead and two injured.
At around 5:14 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, officers responded to the area of North Hudson Avenue and Highway 50 East Bypass, near Mineral Palace Park, for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found a 19-year-old man in a car in the 2000 block of N Hudson with gunshot wounds, who was pronounced dead on the scene.
Two other occupants in the car had minor injuries.
Police say the investigation is in its beginning stages, however, it is believed that shots were fired in the intersection of N. Hudson Avenue and Highway 50. A description of additional suspects and a suspect vehicle is being developed.
PPD is asking any witnesses who were present at the time of the incident or have information to contact Hector Herrera at (719)-601-7023 or contact Crimestoppers at (719)-542-STOP to remain anonymous.
This is an active and ongoing investigation, updates will be provided to the public as more information becomes available. This is Pueblo’s 3rd homicide in 2025.
