(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD) is asking for the community to be on the lookout for a Jeep Cherokee with front end damage that allegedly hit and killed a moped rider on I-25 in Pueblo and left the scene.
The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. on Monday, March 4, closing the southbound lanes of the interstate for several hours. According to PPD, when officers arrived at the scene on I-25 near Minnequa Avenue, they found a man and a moped in the roadway. The moped rider was declared dead on scene.
On Tuesday, PPD released a reference photo of the type of car police believe to be involved in the crash, and asked the community to be on the lookout.

PPD said the Cherokee is approximately a 2014-2018 model, but police do not know the exact color of the involved car.
