(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Police Department (PPD)arrested a 42-year-old man after the person he assaulted died due to injuries received in the incident.

On Tuesday, April 15, at around 8:33 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of Main Street, near Fourth Street and I-25, after a report of an assault. Upon arrival, they found an unresponsive man who was transported the the hospital. The man died as a result of the injuries he received in the assault on Friday, April 25.

As a result of an investigation of the incident, officers arrested 42-year-old Ryan Ramos on charges of: First Degree Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Criminal Possession of a Financial Device, and warrants for Failure to Appear and two counts of Fugitive of Justice.

This is Pueblo’s fourth homicide of the year.
