(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) said it is planning to host open houses at eight of its locations from Monday, April 8 to Saturday, April 13.
According to PPLD, the open houses will be unique to each location and will offer different activities and entertainment for people to enjoy. Each location will have library tours, refreshments, and prize drawings.
PPLD is encouraging both new and current library users to attend the events and see what PPLD has available for those with a library card. Staff will be available at each event to welcome visitors and share information about library resources such as; programs, unique spaces, equipment such as laser engravers, 3D printers, and other services.
“Our Open House events will showcase the wide variety of resources and opportunities available throughout our District,” said Chief Librarian and CEO Teona Shainidze-Krebs. “We want to celebrate the patrons who use our services and spaces regularly. We also want the entire community to know the Library is here for them. Everyone is welcome, and we hope they can find something special at the Library that will help them thrive.”
Penrose Library’s open house on Wednesday, April 10 will also serve as a grand reopening for the branch that has been closed since Feb. 1 for shelving updates and renovations.
