(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Prescribed burns will be conducted at the Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station on Wednesday, April 26.
Controlled burns will be closely monitored and conducted between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Smoke may be visible for several miles from the area.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service plans to burn approximately 24 piles of accumulated forest slash. The slash was collected and piled over the past two years as part of its forest health and habitat improvement program.
