(COLORADO SPRINGS) — President Donald Trump took to TruthSocial on Sunday evening, April 27, to react to the operation led by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Rocky Mountain Field Division (DEA RMFD) on an illegal underground nightclub in Colorado Springs.
During the early morning hours on Sunday, April 27, the DEA RMFD conducted an operation at an illegal club located off Airport Road and South Academy Boulevard. At the time of the bust, there were about 200 people inside the club, and around 114 illegal immigrants were taken into custody by Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE).
“This is an underground, illegal nightclub, and what was happening inside was significant drug trafficking, prostitution, crimes of violence, [and] we seized a number of guns in there,” said DEA RMFD Special Agent in Charge Jonathan Pullen.
Over a dozen active-duty service members were also inside the club, working as armed security or patrons. The DEA confirmed via X that only “those here illegally or those with warrants were taken into custody.”
“A big Raid last night on some of the worst people illegally in our Country — Drug Dealers, Murderers, and other Violent Criminals, of all shapes and sizes, and Judges don’t want to send them back to where they came from,” Trump wrote via TruthSocial. “If we don’t win this battle at the Supreme Court, our Country, as we know it, is FINISHED! It will be a Crime ridden MESS. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
300 law enforcement personnel representing 10 other federal agencies and local partners, including the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) and El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), took part in the operation. The Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division (Army CID) was also on scene.
