(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The community is invited to show its support during a procession for the Pueblo Fire Department’s Deputy Chief Keith Novak, who unexpectedly passed away on July 27.
Deputy Chief Novak was a firefighter with the Pueblo Fire Department and was promoted to second-in-command duties by Pueblo Fire Chief Barb Huber in 2022. Novak dedicated 30 years of service to the Pueblo community and was a member of the Local 3 chapter of the Pueblo International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) for 26 years. He was described by the IAFF Local 3 as a “respected leader, colleague, and public servant.”
The procession will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 8:45 a.m., beginning at City Park and ending at Praise Assembly of God, where a public funeral service will be held. The procession route will head east on 4th Street through Pueblo, and the community is invited to line the procession route to honor Novak’s 30 years of service and show support for his colleagues and family members.
