Pueblo County HS hosts benefit concert for Make-A-Wish

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — A special concert was put on by Pueblo County High School on Friday, March 7, raising money to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Students joined local musicians at the Copper River Family Entertainment destination in Pueblo West to help grant wishes for children facing critical illnesses.

School District 70 (D70) said these wishes can be a spark that helps children believe anything is possible and gives them the strength to fight harder against their illnesses. D70 said Friday’s event shows the generosity and spirit that defines their schools and county.

“This gets our kids out in the community. It’s showcasing not only the fundraising that our kids are doing and taking care of, but it’s also showcasing our arts academy kids. We have two rock bands performing tonight, along with some local legends,” said Brian Dilka, Principal of Pueblo County High School. “We’re just really excited for our kids to be able to use this platform for a good cause.”
