(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo Fire Department (PFD) responded to a kitchen fire around 11:30 on Saturday, Nov. 30, and saved three dogs from the home.
According to PFD, when crews arrived, they saw dark smoke rising from a rooftop cooler of the home. Neighbors reported that nobody was home, but there were three dogs in the household. After a search around the property, the fire crew found one dog in the backyard.
After firefighters extinguished the kitchen fire, they searched inside the house and found the two other dogs. American Medical Response (AMR) provided rehab and a safe place for the dogs until they could be reunited with their owners. No injuries were reported and the dogs appear to be doing well, according to PFD.
