(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern Colorado (RMHCSC) will host an all-day radiothon on Friday, Sept. 13 to celebrate the charity’s many accomplishments and to raise funds to help future families.
FOX21’s Live and Local Morning Reporter Julie Baker will be live at the event from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 13. The radiothon will continue through 5 p.m. and locals can tune in on Cat Country-95.1, Peak-92.9, 98.1-KKFM, 98.9-MagicFM, 740-KVOR, and Extra Sports 1300 to hear stories from RMHCSC families, care partners, and supporters.
To help support, you can text “Radio” to (719)223-3456 or call 719-755-4074. You can also visit rmhcsoutherncolorado.org to learn more about how the charity helps local families and their critically ill children stay close to each other during treatment and provides resources to help them through their journey.
Later on Friday, a special ribbon cutting ceremony will be held for the Legacy Wall–an original, 325 square foot, permanent installation created by local artist Amy Spring.
The community is invited to stop by the House at 4223 Royal Pine Drive to tour the facility and support local food trucks all day long. Attendees can support RMHCSC families with a $20 recurring gift, and all recurring gift donors will be entered to win a $500 SCHEELS gift card or an autographed guitar from Russell Dickerson.
