(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Drivers should avoid the area of East Fountain and South Union Boulevards a large paint spill from an earlier crash on Thursday morning, May 16 closed a portion of the intersection.

The Colorado Springs Police & Fire Communications Center (CSPD Communications) posted about the closure just after 9 a.m. on Thursday and said that southbound Union Blvd. at Fountain Blvd. will be closed for the next few hours due to the spill.

CSPD Communications advised drivers to use alternate routes as the spill is cleaned up.
