Salvation Army food pantry: “Our shelves are empty”

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Salvation Army’s pantry shelves are empty, and in need of donations.

On Tuesday, Feb. 18, the Salvation Army Colorado Springs Corps announced via Facebook that their food pantry was running thin and are in need of non-perishable food and financial support to help those who need it.

“Right now, our food pantry is running low, and many families in our community are struggling to put meals on the table,” the Salvation Army wrote. “When hunger feels overwhelming, we believe in being God’s hands—providing nourishment, hope, and love to those in need.”

To donate, individuals can:

Drop off donations at 908 Yuma Street in Colorado Springs

Give online.

Some non-perishable foods individuals can donate include canned goods, pasta, peanut butter, granola bars, cereal, crackers and more.
