School bus involved in crash north of Downtown

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A crash involving a car and a school bus was reportedly blocking streets north of Downtown on Friday, March 22.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) confirmed to FOX21 News that officers had responded shortly before 2 p.m. to a crash involving a car and a school bus at the intersection of East Uintah Street and North Institute Street, near Patty Jewett Golf Course.

CSPD said it did not appear that any children were on the bus at the time of the crash. CSPD could not provide information on possible injuries.

Lanes appeared to be blocked due to the crash, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the area.
