(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Pueblo County Coroner has identified the two people who died as a result of a house fire on Wednesday, Aug. 28.
The Pueblo Fire Department (PFD) originally responded to a house fire on Wednesday in the 1800 block of East Evans Avenue, in a neighborhood northeast of Lake Minnequa.
When firefighters arrived, they found the home engulfed in flames. One person was found injured, another was found dead, and a dog was also found dead inside the home, according to PFD.
On Monday, Sept. 2, the Pueblo County Coroner said the injured person, 68-year-old Christina Cleckner died in a Denver hospital. The person who died on scene was identified as 73-year-old Richard Cleckner.
According to the coroner, the fire investigation continues.
