Several displaced after house fire in Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Seven people and five pets are displaced after a duplex fire in Colorado Springs on Friday night, July 12.

According to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD), crews responded to the fire around 8:45 p.m. on Friday in the 70 block of Haney Road, which is located near the intersection of South Nevada and Lake Avenues.

According to fire crews, two units were involved in the fire, and four adults, three children, and five pets between the two units are now displaced.

One person was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and a cut to their leg; another person was treated on scene for minor burn injuries.
