(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — A shelter-in-place alert has been issued for an area west of Manitou Springs for law enforcement activity.

According to the Peak Alert sent to locals by the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), the shelter-in-place is near the 400 block of Ruxton Avenue, near the Manitou Incline and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway.

Those in the highlighted area above are asked to lock their doors and windows and stay inside.
