Sheriff’s Offices announce public safety campaign

(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) along with the Teller County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) is announcing a public safety campaign related to immigration legislation on Monday, Feb. 3.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Monday, El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal and Teller County Sheriff Jason Mikesell along with Congressman Jeff Crank will be speaking on their work to correct “anti-public safety legislation.”

The Sheriff’s Offices claim the legislation is preventing officers from working with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to hold dangerous criminals accountable and successfully remove them from the community.
