(MONUMENT, Colo.) — The U.S Forest Service (USFS) and Monument Fire Department responded to a small fire above Mount Herman Road on Thursday, July 11.
On Thursday morning at around 7:30 a.m., USFS crews responded to the .10 acre fire dubbed “Raspberry Mt. Trail Fire” by fire officials.
According to the USFS, fire crews with the Forest Service, Monument, and Palmer Lake originally responded to the fire and stopped all forward progression. As of 3:40 p.m., all resources on the Raspberry Mt. Trail Fire had been released except one engine.
At 2 p.m., the fire was 75% contained. Efforts on the fire will continue to secure fire lines and mop the fire up.
Monument Fire said no structures were threatened and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
