(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department responded to a smash-and-grab during the early morning hours on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
At around 4:12 a.m. on Wednesday, police responded to a burglary in the 2400 block of S. Academy Boulevard near Astrozon Boulevard. Further investigation revealed that the suspects who were minors used a stolen Kia to drive through the front of the business, which caused significant damage to it.
CSPD said the minors entered the business and stole several items before escaping.
Police told FOX21 News this is the 41st smash-and-grab involving a vehicle this year in Colorado Springs. Currently, police are working on identifying the suspects and are investigating several leads.
