(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — The government of Cañon City said smoke and/or fire may be visible near City Hall over the weekend of Saturday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 18 from a controlled burn.

The City posted on Facebook that the Parks Department will be burning both the north and south ditch banks from City Hall west to Royal Gorge Boulevard on Saturday and Sunday.

The City asked that the public refrain from calling emergency services if you see smoke in this area, the fire department has already been notified.
