(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs Utilities (Springs Utilities) reported that crews are responding to an outage west of I-25, near Mesa Road and King Street, leaving over 1,600 customers without power, as of 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6.

According to Springs Utilities, the outage was caused by a utility pole that caught fire. Updates on the outage can be followed on the outage map on the website.
