State enforcement surge in Pueblo arrests over a dozen

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) released the results of a weekend enforcement surge in Pueblo where there were over a dozen DUI arrests and multiple previous offender arrests.

From Friday, Aug. 30 to the morning of Monday, Sept. 2 CSP’s Statewide DUI team and Troop 2D in Pueblo conducted an enforcement surge. The enforcement focused on the major roadways in the area and the roads that feed them.

Throughout the weekend, CSP said troopers had 126 contacts, 14 DUI arrests, 21 roadside evaluations, and two previous offenders were arrested.

CSP said Pueblo County has experienced 78 Fatal crashes and 231 crashes with bodily injury since 2020. According to CSP, the leading causes of these crashes were lane violations, speeding, distracted driving, and impaired driving.
