Street rod nationals to be held in Pueblo

(PUEBLO, Colo.) — Street Rods will be parading the streets of Downtown Pueblo on Friday, June 21, as they head to the fairgrounds to be showcased for the public.

The Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce and Visit Pueblo are hosting the National Street Rod Association (NSRA) Rocky Mountain Street Rod Nationals from June 21 to Sunday, June 23. The event will feature a spectacular array of over 2,000 classic and custom cars from across the nation.

The event is open to the public, and spectators can expect everything from sleek street rods with powerful motors to high horsepower muscle cars, painted hot rods, and timeless classic cars and trucks, all over thirty years old and meticulously restored.

The parade begins on Friday at 10 a.m. at 29th Street and Elizabeth Street, near the old Safeway, and will end at the Colorado State Fairgrounds at 1001 Beulah Avenue. Below is a map of the parade route.

Friday and Saturday will feature the Nitro Knockout, automotive swap meet, kids’ and adult games, and a coloring contest, as well as live entertainment from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Sunday, a special all-denomination church service will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the Awards Ceremony at 1 p.m., where over forty awards will be presented.

Spectator hours are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets for all activities are open to the public, and admission prices are:

$20 for ages 13 and older

$6 for children between 6 and 12

Free admission to children 5 and under, when accompanied by an adult

Family passes for $45 include two adults and up to three children 12 and younger

Active military, seniors over 60, and NSRA members get a $2 discount with proper identification
