Strip club’s pole party raises support for firefighters

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Deja Vu® Showgirls is teaming up with the Citizens for Stratmoor Hills Firefighters ahead of election day to increase awareness about an important ballot measure.

On Sunday, Nov. 3, Deja Vu® Showgirls Colorado Springs will host a “Pole Work is Essential Party” in support of the Stratmoor Hills Fire District’s ballot measure to help increase overall revenue for the station.

Citizens for Stratmoor Hills Firefighters are asking community members to vote for a mill levy increase, the first since 2004. The 2024 mill levy would allow the fire district to hire four new firefighters/EMTs, increase the stipend for volunteer firefighters, replace outdated equipment, expand training programs, and their vehicle fleet to be better prepared to respond to emergencies.

The party will raise awareness and present a $30,000 check in support of the fire district. Attendees will be able to enjoy photo opportunities with a Deja Vu® branded fire truck, a complimentary taco bar, live entertainment, and a limited edition “Pole Work Is Essential” merchandise giveaway.

Deja Vu® Showgirls said some guest attendees include the Fire Chief and club entertainers.

The check presentation and party will take place at the club, located at 2145 B Street, at 2 p.m. with the afterparty immediately following.

To attend, guests must be over 18 years of age.
