Study shows Colorado outperforms most yearly median incomes

(COLORADO) — A study found that citizens in Colorado are ranked higher than most states when it comes to salary.

A WalletHub study found that Colorado’s citizens are ‘better off’ than other Americans across the country when it comes to average annual income. The study compared and gave a rank based on the average annual income of the top 5% of earners, the median average, and the bottom 20% of earners.

Colorado ranked #9 within 51 states including the District of Columbia. According to the study, the top 5% of earners in the state make an average of $456,603 per year, while the median income is $97,301 and the bottom 20% of earners make $18,451.

The median yearly income in the U.S. is around $74,600, according to the study and data from the Federal Reserve.

Washington, 62.29

Utah, 61.60
