Style on Set: Closet cleanout & classic style refresh

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — FOX21 and Loving Living Local are back with the second installment of Style on Set, our fashion-focused makeover series featuring local slow fashion stylist Jordyn Peppin of Slow with Jo.

This time, it’s Morning Reporter Julie Baker stepping into the styling spotlight. With a full closet and a busy schedule, Julie’s goal wasn’t to add more–it was to edit down, simplify, and build a timeless, versatile wardrobe that reflects her personality both on and off the air.

“I used to shop just for that dopamine rush,” Julie shared. “And now there are some clothes I’m ready to get rid of and find stuff that really creates that staple, classic wardrobe.”

With her hourglass body shape in mind, Jo helps Julie understand how to balance structure and softness — focusing on blazers, trousers, and subtle accessorizing to enhance her silhouette. Together, they comb through Julie’s current wardrobe, identify key pieces to keep, and prepare for a shopping trip to find a few missing staples.

“I’m excited to trim down my closet and add pieces that elevate my style,” Julie said. “This process gave me insight into what really works for me.”

Up next, Julie takes her $300 budget and hits Ashley’s Attic, a local secondhand boutique, to find classic, functional pieces that bring her new look to life.
