Taco truck allegedly robbed at gunpoint near S Academy

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that a taco truck was robbed in the south side of Colorado Springs on Friday, Feb. 21.

According to CSPD, officers were dispatched to the area of Wentworth Drive and Inverness Drive, near South Academy Boulevard and East Fountain Boulevard, on reports of a robbery around 10:30 p.m. on Friday. When officers arrived, they learned that a taco truck parked in the area had been robbed by two suspects, one of which had a handgun.

The suspects allegedly stole cash and ran from the area. They have not been found, according to CSPD.
