(MONUMENT, Colo.) — A local family-owned business celebrated its grand re-opening on Saturday, March 1, as they moved to a much bigger store.
Taste of Life, a small business that makes gluten-free and regular prepared meals, as well as bakery goods moved from the back of their kitchen to a front-door location in Monument. The new expanded space allows the family to serve even more customers and offer a wider range of homemade products.
“We are celebrating that we got to expand into a larger store area because for many years now we’ve been called the “secret back door store” because we just sold out of the back of our commercial kitchen,” said the owner of Taste of Life, Donna Poelstra. “So this was quite an opportunity for us to expand into a larger area and we thought we’d make a celebration of it. So we’re very excited.”
The business originated in 1996, the family-owned business uses basic ingredients without added chemicals and preservatives and offers family-friendly meals such as take-and-bake entrees and casseroles.
To celebrate the grand re-opening, the business offered samples and free gift bags to the first 100 families. Taste of Life can now be found at 18965 Base Camp Road, A6 in Monument.
