Taylor Bishop signs off after 10 years at FOX21 News

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — After 10 years, FOX21’s evening anchor Taylor Bishop is signing off on Friday, Feb. 7 to spend more time with her growing family.

Taylor’s career here at FOX21 News has been as impactful for our viewers as it has for everyone who has stepped foot in this newsroom. Her strong leadership, depth of knowledge, and professional demeanor has placed many journalists on the path to resounding success, all while bringing laughter and lighthearted camaraderie that truly can’t be duplicated.

Taylor grew up in a small town called Berryville, Arkansas and graduated from Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, in 2014 with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Communications. She fell in love with journalism at Missouri State thanks to her professors and also her mentors at KY3’s Ozarks Sports Zone in Springfield.

Taylor began her career with FOX21 on Feb. 2, 2015 as a young reporter looking to tell our communities’ stories. While filming one of those stories, a Restaurant Report Card in 2018, Taylor met owner of Shah’s Kabob & Gyros food truck, Andrew Shah.

In 2021, Taylor and Andrew tied the knot, and they now have two beautiful children, Bishop and Ford.

Taylor accepted the position of evening anchor in March of 2019, and while balancing a full time career and a family is difficult no matter the industry, Taylor has managed to be a loving, dedicated mother while still stepping up to meet every challenge in a constantly changing business. She has truly been a pillar of accomplishment and devotion in every facet of life, and we at FOX21 News couldn’t be happier to have known her for this storied part of her career.

Thank you for everything, and we wish you the best Taylor!
