These were the most stolen cars in Colorado in 2024

DENVER (KDVR) — Car theft is a continuous problem in Colorado, however, some cars — especially in some areas — were more commonly stolen than others over the past year.

The Colorado State Patrol released its auto theft data for 2024, including the top cars stolen over the year and the top Colorado cities for theft.

Auto thefts down statewide, but still remain high

The state patrol reported a 25% reduction in auto theft compared to 2023 and a 41% reduction since 2022 when it recorded most vehicle thefts by volume. In total for 2024, CSP said approximately $121,000,000 was saved in total losses compared to the prior year.

However, auto theft is still a top priority for CSP.
