Tiny home manufacturer looking to create 170 jobs in Fremont County

(FREMONT COUNTY, Colo.) — On Friday, Sept. 12, Governor Jared Polis and the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (OEDIT) announced a manufacturing company in Fremont County is projected to create 170 jobs thanks to the Rural Jump-Start program.

Mytikas Manufacturing, a producer of sustainable, high-efficiency galvanized steel components and zero-waste tiny homes, is the first Fremont County business to join the Rural Jump-Start program.

“Colorado is proud to announce the addition of 170 good new jobs by Mytikas Manufacturing in Fremont County. Mytikas delivers cost-efficient, durable, and eco-friendly building solutions. Our Rural Jump-Start initiative helps to stimulate local economies, generate jobs, enhance our quality of life, and address housing needs across the state,” said Governor Jared Polis.

According to the Governor’s Office, the Rural Jump-Start program encourages economic development and job creation in economically distressed, rural counties of Colorado. The funding supports regional economic and workforce development activities that seek to expand local businesses, create new, good-paying jobs, and strengthen and diversify local economies.

“We are thrilled to become part of the lively Fremont County community. Mytikas Manufacturing is profoundly thankful for OEDIT’s help through the Rural Jump-Start and Innovative Housing Incentive programs. Their support was crucial to allow us to bring our vision of sustainable, high-efficiency, and affordable building solutions and tiny homes to life in Colorado,” said Eric J. Bonick, Mytikas Manufacturing’s Chief Financial Officer.

Mytikas Manufacturing anticipates making initial hires and commencing production during the third quarter of 2025.
