(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Public Utilities Commission is going to hold multiple town halls to listen to community feedback about the proposed 18% rate increase by Black Hills Energy.
The town halls will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, and Wednesday, Oct. 30, both from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The City of Pueblo said there will be a brief introduction of the Public Utilities Commissioners and a welcome then public comment will be open for all.
Back in June, Black Hills Energy proposed a Public Utilities Commission review of Black Hills Energy’s electric rates. The proposal is estimated to increase the average residential customer’s electric bill by $20 per month.
The town hall on Tuesday, Oct. 29, will have both Spanish language translation and ASL interpretation. The City of Pueblo will livestream the town halls on its Facebook page and Government Channel 17. If those interested are unable to attend the town halls public feedback can be submitted online, by email at [email protected] by mail, or by phone at (303) 869-3490.
More information can be found on the Black Hills Public Comments page on the City of Pueblo’s website.
