(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — Two men were arrested on Thursday, Feb. 29, after evidence collected from a truck stolen during a home invasion in 2021 led to the men being identified as suspects, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).
PCSO said arrest warrants were issued for 28-year-old Jalen A. Rojas and 32-year-old Christopher Lujan in connection to the home invasion after a detective worked to identify them.
According to PCSO, on Dec. 27, 2021, deputies responded to a reported home invasion in the 25000 block of County Farm Road, southeast of Blende. The victim told deputies that she had heard a noise in her basement, and when she went downstairs to investigate the cause, she found a man had broken into her home.
The victim stated that she startled the suspect, who ran out of the home through the garage. The suspect and a second man then jumped in the victim’s truck and drove away. PCSO said the truck was later found.

PCSO said a detective actively working the case was able to collect evidence from the truck that led to the identification of Rojas and Lujan.
“Our detective did great work on this investigation in collecting evidence and working hard to match that evidence to the suspects,” said Pueblo County Sheriff David J. Lucero. “The detective pursued leads and evidence for more than two years and his patience and persistence paid off, leading to the arrests of these two suspects.”
