DENVER (KDVR) — Starting next summer, United Airlines will add eight new nonstop flights from Denver, including its first nonstop flight between the Denver International Airport and Rome, Italy.
Thursday morning, United announced it would add nonstop flights from Denver to the following cities:
Buffalo, New York
Pensacola, Florida
Peoria, Illinois
North Bend, Oregon
Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada
Redding, California
Wilmington, North Carolina
Rome, Italy
This is also the first time United will have nonstop service to Redding, California and Wilmington, North Carolina from DIA.
United’s new nonstop route to Rome will be flown on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. According to Google Flights, current fights to Rome from DIA take more than 13 hours with at least one layover.
“United’s continued commitment to delivering an exceptional travel experience in Denver is underscored by these new routes and the nearly $1 billion in investments we have made to enhance the customer experience and bring greater convenience,” said Jonna McGrath, vice president of United’s Denver hub. “As Denver’s hometown airline, we’re proud to offer more destinations than any other carrier, giving Colorado residents and travelers passing through Denver unmatched flexibility and options to explore the destinations they want to visit most.”
According to United, the airline is the largest and most-flown airline in Denver.
When will these new routes take effect?
United said the eight new nonstop routes will start in the summer of 2025. United will fly each route once a day.
