United Way grant applications open Jan. 10 for nonprofits

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Community nonprofits are invited to apply for grant funding starting Friday, Jan. 10.

Nonprofit agencies can apply for a grant from the Community Investment Fund by submitting a letter of intent and a copy of their financials to Pikes Peak United Way (PPUW) no later than Friday, Jan. 24, 2025. PPUW said these documents will be reviewed by community volunteers and agencies will be selected to move forward in the application process.

The PPUW team, which includes volunteers and the board, will make the final decision by June 2025.

“Pikes Peak United Way has a long legacy of supporting other organizations that align with our mission of Family Stability and Youth Success,” said Elizabeth Quevedo, Senior Vice President of Community Impact. “During our last funding cycle, we supported 29 agencies in El Paso and Teller Counties and we look forward to backing the work that is changing lives in our community.”

For more information about the process or to submit a letter of intent, visit ppunitedway.org.

Each letter of intent must outline the program requesting funding and include general information such as address, phone number, website, background of the organization, amount requested, and key performance indicators in one of the two areas funded by United Way. Applicants must also include expected results and population served.
