(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said at 9:50 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, that crews were making progress on the fire that has extended into the attic of The Vue at Spring Creek Apartments in Colorado Springs.

Ashley Franco, CSFD’s Public Information Officer said that a media briefing would take place on Thursday and FOX21 News will live stream the update in the video player above.

ORIGINAL STORY: CSFD responds to three-alarm apartment complex fire

THURSDAY 9/26/2024 9:19 a.m.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said its crews are on the scene of a three-alarm fire at an apartment complex in southern Colorado Springs and is reporting that two floors are on fire.

According to CSFD, on Thursday, Sept. 26 a little after 9 a.m. fire crews were on the scene of The Vue at Spring Creek Apartments, located near South Circle Drive and East Fountain Boulevard.

CSFD is asking the public to avoid the area while crews work.
