The Cañon City Police Department (CCPD) is asking for people’s help in finding a missing at-risk elderly man who police said went to check for mail and failed to return home.
According to CCPD, on Monday, Jan. 13 at around 3:30 p.m., 86-year-old Walter Reece left his home to check for the mail and failed to return home. He was last seen driving a dark bronze colored Buick Enclave, with a black and white Colorado license plate “TARHEEL.” The vehicle was last seen headed northbound at the intersection of North 9th Street and Highway 50 at around 4:30 p.m.
Reece was last seen wearing black sweatpants, black sneakers, and a black or navy blue jacket.
