(U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.) — The U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) is warning drivers to expect delays at its North and South gates due to the government shutdown.
According to USAFA, due to the shutdown, USAFA is pausing its Gate Support Program starting on Thursday, Oct. 23, until further notice.
The Academy said employees and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and allow additional time for entry.
“Security Forces personnel are working diligently to maintain the safety and security of the installation while managing these short-term manning constraints,” said USAFA.
USAFA said to expect delays at both the North and South gates during peak hours and surrounding special events such as football games or reunions.
