(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum (USOPM) is hosting a drone show on Tuesday, Dec.3, in the hope of drawing more people to donate to worthy causes on Colorado Gives Day.
On Tuesday, three drone shows in three different parts of the state will light up the skies to raise local awareness of Colorado Gives Day, which coincides with Giving Tuesday. Here locally, the drone show is happening at the USOPM at 6:30 p.m.
Colorado Gives Day is Dec. 10, and it’s Colorado’s largest giving event. In 2023, Colorado Gives Day raised $54 2-million for more than 4,000 Colorado nonprofits.
“I wouldn’t be here without that support… amazing people believing in me,” said Tyler Carter, a U.S. Paralympian Alpine skier. “And that’s what we’re here celebrating. Colorado Gives Day, which just allows others to follow their dreams, to do things, to be a part of something that’s much bigger than themselves.”
The other two drone shows on Tuesday are taking place at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, and at the Apex Center in Arvada.
