(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Stephen Sondheim’s beloved fairytale classic, “Into the Woods,” will be presented in concert by Theatreworks, featuring a collaboration between The Chamber Orchestra of The Springs and the Colorado Springs Conservatory.
A remarkable ensemble of local actors and musicians presents the narrative to audiences with a concert staging, focusing on timeless music and unexpected perspectives from familiar fairytales. Main characters are taken from stories such as “Red Riding Hood,” “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Rapunzel,” “Cinderella,” and more.
Theatreworks Artistic Director, Caitlin Lowans leads the production as Director and Colorado theater artist J. Chang Tablada is the Musical Director.
“Into the Woods is a glorious work about paths that are harder than we anticipate, and the unexpected relationships that hold us up in dark times,” said Lowans.
