(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Hundreds of local veterans sat down with employers on Thursday, Oct. 9 to search for their next opportunity.
More than 35 employers are actively seeking the unique talents of America’s veterans to dedicate to a range of industries, from construction to medical to administrative and logistics, with career opportunities from entry level to senior management.
This year, Disabled American Veterans sponsored more than 90 in-person and virtual job fairs. Thursday’s event at the Broadmoor World Arena was free for veterans and their families.
“And I kind of tell them, ‘hey these companies are here today because you are all from the military community,” said Raul Torres, the Event Director. “So they are just looking to onboard more of the same kind of, you know, culture into their companies.”
