Victim from fatal motorcycle crash on Colorado identified

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has released the name of the victim of a fatal crash on West Colorado Avenue and 32nd Street that occurred on Sunday, Aug. 31.

According to CSPD, a call came in around 12:30 a.m. on Aug. 31, reporting the crash, and when officers arrived, they found that a motorcycle had hit a curb while driving off the road. The rider of the motorcycle was found dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported. The Major Crash Team took over and found that speed appeared to be a contributing factor in the crash.

On Sept. 1, 2025, the El Paso County coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy on the motorcyclist and identified him as 28-year-old Dylan Hart.

According to CSPD, this was the 39th traffic fatality in Colorado Springs in 2025. At this time in 2024, there were 37 traffic fatalities.
