(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) and El Paso County Coroner’s Office have confirmed the identity of the young man who died in a shooting that happened on Oct. 19 on Southgate Road.
CSPD originally received reports of a shooting in the 2000 block of Southgate Road just before 5 p.m. on Oct. 19. When officers arrived, they found a man dead on the scene before the Homicide Unit could begin an investigation.
The victim was identified by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office as 19-year-old Devon Redden.
The coroner’s office has yet to determine a cause of death, but Redden’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
