(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A “voter information portal” presented by the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office will provide voters with election information, historical election data, and voter turnout data for current elections.
The portal, called EPC VIP (El Paso County Voter Information Portal) allows users to see election data for El Paso County as a whole, and also zoom in to see data for specific areas and neighborhoods, using visual diagrams and mapping layers.
Users will be able to see voter registration, voter turnout, census, precinct, district map layers, and vote center/ballot box locations. Security camera live video feed through an interactive, user-friendly geographic information system (GIS) is also provided via the portal.

“Transparency in elections fosters trust, prevents abuse and misinformation, and ensures that the democratic process reflects the true will of the people,” said Clerk and Recorder Steve Schleiker. “Our new El Paso County Voter Information Portal (EPC VIP) site emphasizes that every step of our election processes is transparent.”
A demonstration of EPC VIP was provided at the County Commissioner’s regular meeting on Tuesday, June 4. EPC VIP is powered by Spatialest, a “smart data” solutions provider.
“Stakeholders (including political parties, election observers, and our voters) can now independently verify that our elections in El Paso County are conducted fairly, instills trust, and allows stakeholders to verify the accuracy of our election results,” Schleiker continued. “I’m confident this new site will become a cornerstone of our democratic processes in El Paso County.”
