(COLORADO) — The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) announced after an investigation they have identified and issued a warrant for the arrest of a motorcyclist who traveled between Colorado Springs and Denver in 20 minutes, going more than 150 MPH.
The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Rendon Dietzmann from Texas, also known as Gixxer Brah on YouTube, was discovered by CSP and the Dallas Police Department after a thorough investigation. According to CSP, Dietzmann has done this multiple times, with other videos posted to his channel from different parts of the United States showing similar actions.
Troopers said Dietzmann traveled on I-25 from Garden of the Gods Road to the Denver metro area in 20 minutes with speeds of over 150 MPH, squeezing between vehicles, traveling on the shoulder, and putting hundreds of people in jeopardy.
“Illegal and reckless driving behavior will not be tolerated in Colorado,” stated Sergeant Troy Kessler with the Colorado State Patrol’s Public Affairs Office. “We care too much for those traveling on our roadways to ignore the blatant disregard for the safety of others.”
CSP noted an arrest warrant has been issued for Dietzmann for the following charges:
Menacing – Placed Another Person in Fear of Imminent Serious Bodily Injury
Engaged in Speed Contest
Reckless Endangerment
Reckless Driving
Speeding 40 MPH over Prima Facie Limit
Engaged in Exhibition of Speed
Vehicle had no Number Plates Attached
“This is an extreme example, but sadly a real one,” Kessler stated. “If you drive like this, you can expect to be arrested when you are located. This is the best outcome for a person who drives violently since the smallest mistake could result in his death or that of an innocent person in the area. We simply have “NO TOLERANCE” towards someone who so blatantly disregards the well-being of the community.”
