(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Some good “mews” out of the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) on Tuesday, Aug. 13, after firefighters helped a fluffy cat out of a sticky situation.
CSFD posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday evening, showing firefighters from the Engine 20 crew wrangling a neighbor’s cat that had become caught in some branches and unable to get back down.
In the video, you can see a firefighter manage to free the cat from the branches, before cradling it in one arm for the journey down the ladder. The cat appears just as thrilled with the situation as its worried owner, who can be seen scooping up her furry friend into her waiting arms.
While rescuing cats from trees probably isn’t on any firefighters’ top list of priorities, CSFD always manages to come through and serve all our city’s inhabitants, even the furry variety.
